ACE - Mandarin Classes
Mandarin Learn and Play Weekend Classes
ACE's Mandarin Play and Learn programs are classes designed for children ages 2.5-6, to learn Mandarin Chinese in a play and fun setting. Previous Chinese knowledge is not required or expected for toddler and preschool classes. The teachers inspire Mandarin learning through songs, games, stories, and other age appropriate activities.
Location of the Classes
The classes will be held in Inner Parkside on 16th AVE between Vicente and Ulloa in San Francisco. There are plenty of street parking spaces.
Saturday Class Schedule
The 2008 Spring session runs January 19 to May 31, 2008. There will be a total of 15 Saturday classes in this session.
Preschool classes for children ages 2.5-6:
AM Class 1 - 9:00 -9:45 a.m. – for younger children ages 2.5-3.5, adults may accompany children in this class
AM Class 2 - 10:00-10:45 a.m. – for preschoolers ages 3-6, drop off class with a maximum of two parent volunteers (optional) per class
PM Class 1 - 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. – for older children and more advanced learners ages 4-6, drop off class
About the Teachers:
Nancy Suen currently teaches at a San Francisco preschool and teaches Mandarin after school at Lakeshore Elementary. Previously in China, she taught preschool and kindergarten age children, plays and teaches piano and music theory.
Teachers are CPR trained and have their California permit for teaching preschool.
Fees
$180 plus $25 registration fee for new students and $20 material fee.
