Newsletter Guidlines
Advocates for Chinese Education will publish a black and white newsletter two times a year in June and December. We schedule the newsletter to arrive at our members doors by the mid of the month. We have nearly 200 members in San Francisco Bay Area. We will also distribute to preschools, elementary schools and public agencies for childrens services through private and public funds.
Contribute
Our Newsletter Committee is always looking for members to participate in writing articles for the newsletter. Please review guidelines for articles and let the committee know you are interested!
Guidelines for Articles
Would you like to contribute to the newsletter? We are always looking for new talent to add to our pool of writers. Our writers at ACE Newsletter are volunteer parents on the newsletter committee or outside contributors, usually professionals and educators in Chinese Bilingual and Immersion Education fields.
Audience and topics
Most of our members are interested in Chinese education programs in the San Francisco Bay Area. We are looking for stories on Chinese Education in the Bay Area and parent stories on challenges, joys and success of teaching your children Chinese in the American language environment. We focus primarily on:
- Bay Area Chinese education related activities and topics,
- Child-related topics (Chinese books, classes, programs, playgroups…)
- Parent-related topics (Chinese schools, education programs, curriculum, classes…)
- Reviews (books for children, DVDs, music CDs, schools, neighborhoods…)
- Personal stories and experiences in raising bi-lingual kids in the San Francisco Bay Area

Advertising Rates
We only permit 1 full page ad per issue, and we do not provide discounts for placing ads in multiple newsletters.
Business card: $35 (3.5" wide x 2" tall)
Quarter page: $50 (3.5" wide x 5" tall)
Half page: $70 (7.5" wide x 5" tall or 3.5" wide x 10" tall)
Full page: $100 (7.5” wide x 10” tall)
Reserving Ad Space
We allow advertisers on a first come, first served basis until we have reached our limit of ads for that month. To reserve space:
1. Email us at yingminggu@yahoo.com to let us know what months and what size ad you would like, and so that we can confirm that there is space available for the requested months.
2. Mail your check, made out to ACE, to:

We must receive your payment in order to reserve your ad space. We do not accept online or credit card payments at this time.
Submitting Your Ad
Artwork for ads is due a little over 5 weeks prior to our publication date. Deadline for December issue is Nov 1st. Email completed ads to yingminggu@yahoo.com .
- We can accept ads in PDF, Tiff of Jpeg format only.
- Please make sure that your ad dimensions are correct to the size ad that you are buying. We will not adjust artwork.
- Please be sure to save your ad artwork file with your company name in the filename.
Free Classified ad for Active Members
Active ACE members can place classified ads for free. The due dates for classified ads are April 27 for June issue and October 30 for December issue. Ads should include a title, description and request for months that you'd like the ad to run. The contact information in the ad should be that of the member placing the ad. Our newsletter space is very limited, so classified ads are reserved for active members only. Please don't place classified ads for friends that are not members of ACE. Non-members may place ads through our paid advertising.
